The 2023 $1 Uncirculated Coin – Centenary of Legacy commemorates 100 years of Legacy, An iconic Australian charity dedicated to supporting the families of veterans who have given their life or health in operational service. Legacy provide assistance aimed at protecting individuals and families basic needs, advocating for their entitlements rights and benefits. Assisting families through bereavement and helping thrive despite grief, hardship and loss. Legacy's service are delivered through a network of dedicated volunteers known as legatees who have, since 1923 provide support, empathy and 'lived experience' to the families of veterans.
