Is a picture book by Mem Fox and Judy Horacek.
Published in 2004, it became a best-seller almost immediately and won a CBC award
in 2005. The story behind the story is that Judy had made a small etching in green of a
sheep, which Mern Fox happened to see on Judy's website. Mem told Judy she absolutely adored the green sheep and urged her to turn it into a book. Judy suggested they do it together. So, they collaborated, and what a collaboration that was! Twenty years have passed and 2.5 million copies have been sold. WHERE IS THE GREEN SHEEP? is now a much-loved, much-celebrated, Australian classic.
