Proof coins are the highest quality coins produced by mints. They are struck using specially prepared dies and polished planchets (blanks), resulting in coins with:

  • Mirror-like backgrounds (fields)

  • Frosted designs (devices)

  • Sharp, detailed images

  • Multiple strikes for exceptional finish

They are often sold in presentation packaging with a certificate of authenticity (COA) and are not meant for circulation.
